We can be a good match those with many different needs. In general those who thrive in our program:
Are willing to be active participants in programming. We are always in the community and never in a facility. This means there is no option to “stay behind.”
Have the ability to be flexible. If we finish at a location early or a place is closed, we will find something else to do on the fly. If someone needs to know exactly what will happen each day, they may find our program stressful.
Is willing to communicate and be social. Each group decides what to do for the month by discussing, working as a team and compromising. If someone doesn’t want to work as a team, they may not enjoy this process.
Enjoys small groups. We never have more than 4 participants to 1 staff and each group goes out on their own throughout the day, never with another group.
Can stay with the group, without supervision for at least 5 minutes. There is only 1 staff so if they need to use the restroom or assist another participant in the restroom, everyone must be able to stay together in a set location until staff returns.
Are able to be supported by only receiving 25% of staff’s attention. With only 1 staff each participant will need to be able to wait while staff assists others in the group. Due to this we can not support those with behavioral or high medial needs.

ADS- Community: All of our staff are med certified for level 1 and some staff are med certified for level 2. We are happy to pass medication that have a window that fully falls in our program and transportation times.
VocHab- The goal of the Thriving Together Collective is to prepare participants to get jobs in the community with limited supports. Due to this we will only pass medications if there is a fade plan to have the participant be able to self administer their medications by the end of the internship.

At this time we have a limited number of ADS-community spots available. Please check with Thriving Together Collective to see if there are paid internship spots available.
